Eden Alternative Associate Training

The University of Indianapolis Center for Aging & Community will host Certified Eden Associate Training for those wanting to make a difference in long-term care.

Be touched and transformed by the energy and passion of our trainers as, over three days, they reveal the principles and practices of the Eden Alternative. Our trainers personally work with you to explore solutions to challenges in your work environment. You will leave inspired, hopeful and prepared to bring real transformation to your organization and meaning back into the lives of the residents.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Nursing home owners/administrators, DONs, nurses, social workers, therapists, hands-on care partners, surveyors, ombudsmen, elder advocates and elders.

FEES: $495/person by June 30, 2008; $545/person after June 30, 2008; $470/person group rate (two participants or more)

NAB approved for 21 training/contact hours.

Psychology Open House

The School of Psychological Sciences is hosting an Open House for anyone interested in pursuing a master's degree in clinical psychology or mental health counseling. The Open House will be held on Friday, August 1, 2008 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Good Hall Recital Hall. Faculty and current students will be there to talk about the programs and answer questions. A continental breakfast will be served.
